Amyloid Journal Club

Purpose
We have several people working on amyloid proteins. This meeting will serve as a place in which we can exchange our experience, keep updated regarding members' works, and discuss current issues in the amyloid research fields.
Schedule
Day: First Tuesday of every month at 5pm

What to do
An one-hour meeting will be divided into two parts. In the first half, a speaker will present a topic. This part will be a rather formal one. The speaker can choose any topic from the following categories;
1. His/her current research status report
2. Discussion of a paper in the literature
3. Experimental techniques and/or problems in the current research
In the second half, we can discuss current issues arising from our projects or anything related to them. This part will be totally informal .
Web page
Sangho will prepare and maintain a simple web page for this meeting. It will contain schedule, a list of speakers, excerpts from previous meetings, a mailing list, and related links. It can be a public one, which can be accessed by anyone, or restricted to access inside the MBI, depending on the level of the contents and people's concerns.
Mailing list
A mailing list will be prepared and maintained. Entries of the list will be posted on the web page so that anybody who wants to share hot information can send an email to amyloid people.
Next Meeting
Next meeting will be held on September 7, Tuesday at 5pm assuming no conflicts.
