Fluidigm Topaz Nanoflex IFC
The Fluidigm Topaz system is used for nanoscale free interface diffusion experiments, with autmated inspection and scoring. The Topaz utilizes screening chips that promote protein crystallization via a slow mix of protein and chemical reagent. This system is useful for very low sample volumes, as it is able to screen 96 condition with ~1.5ul of sample (compared to our typical three-drop experiments taking ~40ul per tray).
