To Remove/Alter the popup windows where chemicals and results are located
A listing of plates by score

Use this form to retrieve experiments and results performed by the Crystallization Facility at Lawrence Livermove National Laboratories. The data is uploaded to the database team and placed in tables that this page accesses. All of the experiments and results for the time period:

For experiments: October 4th, 2001 - present

For results: October 5th, 2001 - present

are available using this form. Since there is such a large amount of data and each plate contains 96 experiments (wells), only 1 plate is presented at a time. However, there are 5 different means of searching and retrieving the information.

• Search by dates. Choose the month, day and year for the beginning and ending dates defining the date window. You can use this window to retrieve plates either
  • created in this time perdiod
  • or last modified in this time period
• Search by the name of the target. Type in the name of the target for which you are interested into the field. All plates containing samples of this target will be returned.
• Search by the name of the person who shipped the sample to LLNL. All plates who were submitted to the LLNL Crystallization Facililty and put into an experiment will be presented.
• Search by the plate number. All plates have a unique number. If you know the plate number, you can search the database using this field. This is especially useful if you have a list of plate numbers using the search technique below.
• Get a list of plates containing wells of a given score. If you would like to see a list of all plates that contain experiments that produced crystals, set this field equal to or greater than 7. A list of plates is then presented with their unique number. Simply click on the number and push the "Enter" button to retrieve the information for this plate.

  The LLNL scoring scheme is as follows:

  0 – Clear
  
  1 – Null
  
  2 – Precipitation
  
  3 – Heavy Precipitation
  
  4 – Skin or Phase Separation
  
  5 – Micro crystals
  
  6 – Crystalline clusters
  
  7 – Single Needles or Plates
  
  8 – Single crystals that need improvement
  
  9 – Crystals suitable for data collection
  

  Note: All observations for each experiment are stored in the database. Thus, searching by a score of 5 will return all plates that contain at least 1 experiment that had recorded for it a score of 5, whether this score has been updated to be 0 or 1 or 9.

When a list of plates is presented and the number of wells containing the score searched for is indicated, simply click on the plate number to have this plate transferred to the plate number field in the form. Then, you can push the "Enter" button to lookup the information for this particular plate.
