The new SHELX-97 (Version 2) package has been installed and is now the default version.
SHELX-97 consists of the following programs:
SHELXS - Structure solution by Patterson and direct methods SHELXL - Structure refinement SHELXH is for large structures CIFTAB - Tables for publication via (small molecule) CIF format SHELXA - Post-absorption corrections (for emergency use only) SHELXPRO - Protein interface to SHELX SHELXWAT - Automatic water divining for macromolecules

Please note that this manual is 209 pages, and it will not print out using Netscape 3 on the Alpha's. It will, however, print out via Netscape on a Window's NT PC. To run SHELXL on the DEC-ALPHAs add the following line to your path command/joule2/programs/bin
The directory /joule2/programs/shelx/shelx97_2/egs/test contains example files (*.ins).
