PROFIT is licensed to run only on one of the DEC-ALPHAS, Gauss. Before you run Profit you must add the following line to your .login or .cshrc:

setenv PROFIT_BASE /joule2/programs/profit

add this directory to your path variable:

set path =( $path /joule2/programs/profit )

and copy the following file to your home directory:

cp /joule2/programs/profit/profit.startup .profit
